Congratulations to Adrian Coleman (captain), Adrian Barrett Greene, Guy Davis, Philip Manduca, Robert Mason and David Price for winning the Bernard Darwin trophy at Woking GC last week.

In the Semi-final we breezed through against Rugby winning 3/2, 4/3 and 4/3.
Harrow should have been in the final. Fricker and Tindall won comfortably. Pair three for Harrow were 2 up with 5 to play and then lost 4 holes on the trot to lose. Top pair all square down the last. Uppingham in the heather on the right and Harrow 80 yds from the green after the tee shots. Left-hander from Uppingham heaves it out of the heather destined for the water and takes a remarkable bounce left and hops the bunker just short of the green. Rattled Brewer sculls it into the bunker. They only just get out. Three more shots and all over.
The final. Always nip and tuck in the top match but BG and Manduca finish strongly to win 2/1. Coleman and Mason 2 down after 3 but then race away to win 4/3. Price and Davis were 1 down going down 17 and halved.
